Job Title : Physical Therapy Sports Resident
Department : Ambulatory Services | Lewis Center Physical Therapy
The Sports Medicine Physical Therapist works under the general supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine and under direct supervision of the Sports Medicine Rehab Team Leader. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a team leader, they are also responsible to each other, to those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree
Required Qualifications
All Physical Therapist team members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board. Typically, dueled credentials in Athletic Training, Strength and Conditioning or a Sports Specialty in Physical Therapy, are preferred as well as, one year of experience working in a Sports Medicine rehabilitation field for all professionals hired.
