Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a Food Runner in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment. Extensive knowledge of fine dining etiquette, food presentation, and wine service. Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure. Ability to work efficiently in a team and contribute to a harmonious service environment. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods of time. Ability to obtain and / or maintain all required licenses, certificates, or permits. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Must have open availability and the ability to regularly report to work on time including on nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant. Ability to work long days when required by business demands. Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods of time. Ability to frequently lift heavy items, including trays, up to 40lbs. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors. Competitive hourly wage with opportunities for service charges. Position Overview :
MIKA is seeking experienced and polished Food Runners to provide world-class service in a refined and sophisticated dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work seamlessly as part of a team in a high-end restaurant setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide exceptional service to guests in accordance with fine dining standards.
- Handle guest concerns and special requests with grace and professionalism.
- Delivers food from kitchen to guests in an accurate and timely manner.
- Understand all menu offerings, food descriptions and ingredients and be able to verbalize to guests.
- Set tables appropriately to ensure guests have everything needed at each stage of service.
- Ensure expo and service station areas are organized and maintained.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with restaurant policies and local regulations.
