We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Santa Ana, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the financial operations of our organization. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, managing payroll processes, reconciling construction projects for monthly reports, preparing monthly financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities :

• Assisting with the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Participating in the reconciliation of construction projects for the Monthly Work in Progress report.
• Aiding in the preparation of Monthly Financial Statements, ensuring they are accurate and timely.
• Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure they are in line with budgets.
• Verifying and approving project-related expenses, ensuring they are legitimate and properly documented.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and contractual obligations.
• Assisting in the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Managing the billing process for projects, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
• Maintaining organized and accessible financial records.
• Communicating effectively on task status and deadlines.
• Must possess strong skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is required.
• Expertise in managing and maintaining the General Ledger is essential.
• Ability to accurately record Journal Entries is needed.
• Construction industry required.
• Experience with Sage Intacct is required.
