Job Description

Monday - Friday in office

Pay Rate : $22.00 / hour

The Allied Universal corporate headquarters in Irvine, is currently seeking a Staffing Specialist that can help support recruiting on a national level. As an entry-level staffing specialist, you will be responsible for conducting structured interviews, screening candidates for hourly positions, and extending offers of employment. This role is fast-paced and focuses on efficiently evaluating potential candidates to meet staffing needs for our clients. You will utilize standardized interview guides, follow a structured process, and ensure each candidate has a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct structured interviews : Lead 12-18-minute standardized video interviews with potential candidates for hourly positions, ensuring a consistent, professional, and objective process.

Evaluate candidates : Assess candidate qualifications based on predefined criteria, including experience, availability, and functional fit, to determine if they meet client requirements.

Extend offers of employment : Immediately extend conditional job offers to qualified candidates after successful completion of the interview and screening process.

Provide excellent candidate experience : Ensure that all candidates are treated with respect and professionalism, offering clear communication about the steps of the employment process.

Collaborate with recruitment team : Work closely with recruitment supervisors and team members to meet hiring goals and provide feedback on the process.

Data entry and system updates : Accurately record interview outcomes, offers made, and candidate information in applicant tracking system (ATS).

Adhere to performance metrics : Achieve daily and weekly performance targets related to the number of interviews conducted, offers made, and candidate satisfaction

A Typical Day (8-Hour Shift) :

First 30 minutes - Preparation :

Review daily hiring goals and candidate pipelines

Prepare interview materials and system logins

Next 6-7 hours - Conducting Interviews :

Conduct a minimum # of structured interviews daily

Evaluate candidates, document interview results, and extend offers where applicable

Take brief breaks between interviews to reset and maintain focus

Final 30-60 minutes - Administrative Duties :

Update candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)

Follow up on pending offers or next steps for candidates in the process

Communicate with supervisors on any challenges or updates for the day

Skills & Qualifications :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.

Experience : No prior recruiting experience necessary, but a minimum of 1 year customer service, call center, or sales experience strongly preferred

Communication Skills : Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to engage candidates effectively over the phone.

Time Management : Strong ability to manage time effectively and handle a high volume of interviews daily.

Detail-Oriented : Ability to accurately document candidate interactions and ensure data is entered into the system properly.

Tech-Savvy : Comfortable using digital tools and platforms, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and phone systems.
