Advertised Job Summary :
The Koger Center for the Arts is accepting applications for a Stage Manager. This
position is responsible for the successful production of all events held at the venue.
Following tech rider specs, ensures that all staging requirements are met including
staffing, training, and supervision of a P / T production crew. Also responsible for the
general maintenance of the staging area, including but not limited to flooring, lighting,
dashers, etc.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience :
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and / or experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Assoc. or Bachelor’s degree in related field. Minimum 5 years experience in an entertainment venue setting to include staging, lighting, and sound production.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Working knowledge of industry standard staging techniques, experience in lighting design and sound production.
- Must be able to multi-task and work extended hours.

Recruit, train and supervise a P / T production crew of approximately 100-150. Provide a positive, productive, and professional work atmosphere. Responsible for the safety of the crew members, ensuring that all OSHA rules and regulations are followed. Schedules crew members as per show requirements.

Provides and oversees maintenance of all stage equipment, stage and surrounding storage areas. Must fully understand the functions of stage equipment in order to assess its productivity and troubleshoot operational issues. Employee must stay up to date with the latest technical developments within the theatrical industry providing recommendations for repair and / or upgrade when needed. Responsible for the organization of storage areas, ensuring the areas are clean and free of broken and outdated equipment and supplies.
