General Description :

The driver / stock keeper will work directly with members of the purchasing, shipping, receiving, and production team to coordinate pick up & delivery of material. The driver will be expected to provide complete, accurate and on-time service to the company's vendors and internal customers. The driver will represent the company in a highly professional, safe and cost-effective manner that complies with all applicable regulations.

• Responsibilities :

Prepare truck for operation for assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers.

Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind.

Run scheduled route via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are picked up according to established time frames and company's need.

Maintain communication with the company during the route to ensure any update instructions are received. The truck blue tooth may be used so the driver can communicate and is for company use only (breakdown, delay in pick-up or delivery, questions on what to do, etc.) not for personal use. Note : The use of personal cell phones is strictly prohibited and any use of a personal cell phone while driving will cause the individual to be reviewed for termination of employment, preferably when using the hands-free device the vehicle should be stopped.

Document pickup and delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the vendor / customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to company.

Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety, security and quality processes.

Ensures Customer owned and / or company owed tooling, equipment, vehicles, quality gages-tools, materials, and components are handled safely and carefully to ensure preservation of customer / company owned tools, materials and components etc.

Immediately STOPS-CALLS-WAITS if damaged tools, quality gages-tools, materials and components are found damaged by team member.

Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.

Maintain a safe driving record free of violations.

Perform warehouse stock keeper functions including but not limited to the stocking and scanning of materials. Loading / unloading of the company truck and unloading of inbound trucks.

Fulfillment of production orders and visual management of production materials required for daily use.

Minor inputs of pertinent information into ERP system (IQMS).

Note : Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum 2 years related experience and / training : or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Skills and Requirements :

Must able to pass to DOT physical every (2) years. Annual physical required for high blood pressure employees.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving
