Strategic Sourcing Manager

This role supports global sourcing activities for after-market parts across our Home Comfort Solutions and Building Climate Solutions segments. The position drives procurement cost savings across company expenditures, identifies and implements tariff mitigation and source optimization strategies, and develops both short- and long-term sourcing plans for complex, high-impact, and high-risk categories.

This role supports strategic sourcing initiatives through data analysis, supplier research, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is highly execution-oriented, with responsibility for negotiating complex supplier agreements, managing commercial terms, and driving cost reductions through data-backed analyses and structured sourcing strategies. • Build deep category expertise, including all components within category spend, their applications, and their impact on final products.
  • Monitor and analyze indexes related to your categories and global market trends to inform sourcing decisions and communicate insights to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Continuously research and track developments in the HVAC industry to strengthen decision-making and stakeholder discussions

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy for assigned categories aligned with organization's business goals.
  • Present sourcing strategies and progress during annual roadmap reviews, outlining achievements and forward-looking plans (35 year horizon).
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, supply base improvement, and risk mitigation.

Stakeholder & Supplier Relationships

  • Collaborate with Category Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and manufacturing operations to support sourcing initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally to support productivity initiatives, Category Management projects, and new product introductions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including regular communication and performance management.
  • Conduct data-informed analyses to assess and communicate the validity of supplier price increases.
  • Develop a deep understanding of supplier capabilities, geographic footprint, financial health, and operational strengths.
  • Lead negotiations and manage contracts and commercial agreements to align with company objectives.
  • Establish and execute a structured plan for supplier visits and internal engagement to maintain close collaboration.

Execution & Results

  • Deliver against financial targets, including achieving net Material Cost Reduction (MCR) goals.
  • Ensure continuity of supply by maintaining on-time delivery, quality standards, and appropriate inventory levels to support production needs.
  • Manage supplier-related issues, including claims, rejections, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and category management changes.
  • Drive competitive sourcing processes through regular spend-analysis and supplier benchmarking.
  • Develop and implement dual sourcing strategies and tariff mitigation plans to reduce risk and enhance supply resilience.

What We Are Looking For

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and professional experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • 4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or a related field. Experience in manufacturing or industrial parts and supplies is a plus.
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI.
