JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

At Florida Polytechnic University, the Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC) is where Student Workers - Peer Tutors assist students with questions, course material, study techniques, and other academic support.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

As a Peer Tutor, you will :

• Hold weekly tutoring hours in the TLC for courses you are approved to tutor (minimum of 7 hours per week).
• Tutor at least 2-3 freshman-level courses.
• Collaborate with course coordinators to ensure clear and consistent communication with students.
• Attend monthly meetings with the TLC Administration and bi-weekly (or as needed) meetings with course coordinators.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND / OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW :

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE : Varies and will be determined based on course schedule and research needs.

EXPECTED STARTING SALARY : $14.25 hourly, with a maximum of 20 hours per week for all university employment combined.
