Job Summary
This is a 19.5 hour per week maximum, part-time student position. This is manual labor of a physically demanding nature which involves performing a variety of grounds and landscaping duties and assisting in event setups. The work is sometimes performed in adverse climatic conditions.
Most duties do not require a high degree of manipulative skill; however, as work experience is gained, employees may be assigned to more difficult tasks of a semi-skilled nature. Work is closely supervised with the employee receiving specific instructions at the beginning of the workday.
The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the students class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is cancelled or dismissed early.
Responsibilities
Manual labor role performing a variety of grounds and landscaping duties.
- Pulling weeds, picking up debris, watering plants and caring for shrubs.
- May assist with loading and unloading trucks, moving furniture, and setting up for special events.
- Perform related work as required.
