Job Summary
Supervises the research operations of study protocols and methods development and creates and directs a complex scheduling scheme involving large numbers of research participants and active protocols. Manages complex data management systems of multi-dimensional biological datasets and other project management staff oversight duties. Coordinates projects with multiple laboratories, ensures staff adherence to protocols, and provides data management support for researchers.
Essential Functions
- Supervises the research operations of study protocols and methods development, including documentation, implementation, algorithm development, and high-level data analyses.
- Creates, facilitates, and directs a complex scheduling scheme involving large numbers of research participants and active protocols. Monitors subject accrual through active protocols.
- Develops, implements, maintains, and manages complex data management systems of multidimensional biological datasets, including defining and creating research databases, creating new data collection forms and tables for existing databases, creating data editing routines and export processes, and transferring export datasets to national repositories.
- Coordinates research activities / projects with multiple laboratories.
- Ensures staff adherence to developed protocols.
- Provides data management support for researchers and other staff as needed.
- Oversees data entry, report dissemination, data management procedures, and other project management staff oversight duties as directed.
- Some travel to satellite sites may occur.If not utilizing public transportation, a valid driver’s license is required.It is the expectation that the incumbent will use their own vehicle required for local travel and the owner of the vehicle must carry automobile liability insurance.The owner’s automobile liability insurance coverage is primary coverage.The University’s automobile liability insurance policy provides excess coverage only.
