The Plexus Groupe is looking for candidates who dream big. If you are looking to get an inside look at all that factors into a Sales role within the insurance industry, you will want to look at this opportunity! Our headquarters office in Deer Park, IL currently has an opening for a for a multi-faceted internship position in our Sales department for Summer 2025.
SUMMARY :
As a Sales Intern, you will gain valuable real-world work experience from an insurance brokerage and risk management consultancy with a national presence and an international reach. You will work with seasoned marketing and sales professionals to help further the most important goal of any business for growth, acquisition of new business. You will learn how to identify and target the ideal client to help generate and qualify leads. You will also gain experience on how Plexus has been successful working with startup organizations to larger firms both nationally and internationally.
The Plexus Groupe's Summer Internship Program will run from June 2nd through August 1st, 2025. As part of our internship program, you will work across various departments on team projects and cross-functional intern initiatives. Each summer, Plexus partners with the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers’ (CIAB) on their scholarship program allowing one Plexus intern to apply to win a monetary award towards their college education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Help manage pipeline of qualified leads and prospects that fit The Plexus Groupe’s ideal client profile.
- Understand the business from a wholistic nature and how to market offerings effectively through multiple channels.
- Set up, research, and enhance ideal prospect client profiles.
- Design, build, and execute campaigns.
- Assist in a website rebuild from the ground up.
- Produce content including print, video, and mixed media.
- Identify and improve on best practices for customer relationship management software.
- Identify areas for improvement, and drive projects to automate manual processes, create efficiencies, and reduce overall implementation timeframes.

This is a full-time temporary position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
