Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Small General Contractor based in Canton, MA is looking for a Superintendent to join their team! The Superintendent - Commercial Construction will:

• Maintain project schedule and monitor the work of trade contractors, provide three-week window schedules to Project Management.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, coordination of the work, and the activities of the Owner).
• Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
• Interface with client representatives, architect and engineering representatives, other contractors, etc.
• Schedule and conduct coordination meetings with trade contractors to jointly discuss procedures, process, problems, and scheduling.
• Determine adequacy of trade contractors personnel and equipment and the availability of supplies to meet the schedule.
• Inspect the work of trade contractors for defects and omissions.
• Record the progress of the project via daily job reports.
• Coordinate receipt and storage of construction materials onsite, provide initial quality control inspections.
• Monitor job safety and security policies, ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
• Conduct and document daily inspections.
• Document all violations, notifying project management, and recommending / implementing corrective actions as required.
• Review and comment on shop drawings, maintaining as built records.

The successful Superintendent - Commercial Construction will have:

• 3+ years of experience as an onsite Project Superintendent.
• Preference to ground-up multifamily construction.
• OSHA 10 certification, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Massachusetts CSL License preferred.
• Competency with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project scheduling software, and Procore preferred.
• Strong ability to effectively communicate and work alongside with internal and external project team members.
• Ability to work in various conditions, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and build relationships with all those associated with the project.
