Job description2+ years of experience in construction, preferably in commercial or multi-family projects. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Bilingual in English and either Spanish or Portuguese preferred, not required. OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred. Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) preferred, not required. Proficient in Procore, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related tools. Solid understanding of construction documents, scheduling, inspections, and safety practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to coordinate across teams. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing jobsite operations. Able to work full-time on-site and adapt to changing project needs.
The Assistant Superintendent assists the Campanelli Project Team in overseeing and managing all aspects of a construction project, including the coordination of sub-contractors, materials, and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Assist the Superintendent with daily on-site supervision of subcontractors, laborers, and construction activities.
- Enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation, including daily logs, weather reports, RFIs, and safety records.
- Conduct site walkthroughs to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.
- Address on-site issues promptly and report conflicts or delays to the Superintendent.
- Ensure the job site remains clean, secure, and presentable at all times.
- Schedule and coordinate inspections with local and third-party agencies.
- Update schedules with progress tracking and percent-complete metrics.
- Manage current construction documents, both digital and physical.
- Oversee assigned scopes of work or project phases under the Lead Superintendent's direction.
- Support project closeout, including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover documentation.
- Communicate professionally with the project team, clients, designers, and all trade partners.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project delivery.
