What you'll do

At Viasat, SAP is used to run business processes across Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and Supply Chain. We are currently on a large, complex, multi-country S4 HANA Transformation journey across all modules of S4. Our services are at the heart of how Viasat runs the Hardware Equipment Sales & Lease operations as well as a critical enabler of Global Financial Operations.

We are looking to augment the team with a talented, driven P2P & Supply Chain leader at architect level with experience of design, implementation and delivery of solutions in the Purchase to Pay and Supply Chain domain.

Your role will be pivotal to spearheading ambitious solutions within the current platform and to shaping the new-generation S4 ERP & Ariba. It is a great opportunity to play a major role in this program and further develop the depth & breath of your experience. If you are a proactive and detail-oriented consultant with awesome ability to communicate with our users and have the capability to think both tactically & strategically, we would love to speak to you.

This role will lead and champion the strategic direction of the Purchase to Pay platform & Supply Chain area. This will require working closely with our Business Stakeholders in London, US, India & globally, as well as other IT Infrastructure, Cloud & Security groups across the organization to ensure that all solutions, systems and business capabilities deliver against all functional and non-functional requirements and are delivered on time, to budget and within agreed scope.

You will provide a breadth of expertise and consultancy across the SAP & non-SAP Purchase to Pay landscape to ensure the design and delivery of integrated solutions that bring value and innovation at pace. Your attention to process detail will ensure that there are no gaps in the interconnection between systems and that we have a fully integrated solution that meets are business needs.

You will collaborate with business, team members and core stakeholders to clearly understand business journeys and requirements, how they can be simplified and optimized and drive transformation of this workstream. You will work well in partnership with team and be equally able to work independently. You will be able to do, teach & evangelize all things Purchase to Pay and bring colleagues and stakeholders on the journey to world-class solutions.

The day-to-day

  • Lead platform and development strategy for SAP S4 Purchase to Pay, Supply Chain & Ariba in collaboration with team and stakeholders to ensure solutions are leveraging optimized tools and system capabilities.
  • Provide & implement SAP platform design and development standards that ensure that solutions leverage best practice, comply with regulatory & audit requirements and are easily traceable & maintainable.
  • Design & deliver solutions to complex business problems and opportunities.
  • Maintain & share in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with other solution architects and designers, functional leads, business analysts and project managers on a wide range of technology projects and initiatives, including S4 implementation, integration with non-SAP applications, upgrades, Continuous Improvement and infrastructure upgrades / changes.
  • Develop, share & embed ERP / SAP knowledge (technical and business oriented) to enable innovation.
  • Seek out ways to leverage IT trends to create business value, efficiency, self-service, analytics and automation.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels within across the team, organization and our delivery partners. This includes senior stakeholders.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative and trusted relationships with customers and colleagues to deliver outstanding outcomes, with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Showcase expertise and capability of future-state application.
  • Support the development of technical and business capabilities of the wider ERP team, developing & mentoring existing members as well as recruitment of new people and teams.
  • Maximize adoption, engagement and expertise of our users, teams and stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of continuous improvement within the P2P & Supply Chain solution and embed a culture of continuous change to deliver business value.
  • Identify, plan and implement opportunities for intelligent automation, analytics, simplification, cost savings, end-user & employee experience, self-service and service quality improvements.
  • Ensure and take responsibility for ensuring the system landscape & applications areas at required support levels.
  • Collaborate & manage deliverables with third party suppliers on successfully & timely delivery of contracted work.

What you'll need

  • 20+ years of experience in SAP Purchase to pay with a hands-on experience shaping & delivering transformational projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher), or equivalent experience.

    Mastery of SAP, S / 4, Intercompany, Product Costing, Production Planning, Asset Management, Material Ledger, Business Partner, MDG, Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), ARIBA, Stock Management, Scanning technology, Warehouse Management.

    You have strong cross functional and integration knowledge of other modules - Finance, Order to Cash, Production Planning, Manufacturing & Customer Service.

    Fiori Apps / UI knowledge.

  • Knowledge of digital Supply Chain trends & solutions that integrate well with the SAP ecosystem. Understanding of smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
  • You are strongly delivery-focused and work in a respectful and collaborative way to deliver outstanding solutions at pace.
  • You apply common sense and pragmatic thinking to ensure successful and innovative solution.
  • You are comfortable navigating the spectrum of Supply Chain complex processes, work through cross-application flows to get a grasp of the challenge and capable of articulating & documenting the problem and solution to both technical and non-technical audience.
  • You have worked on large multi-national SAP delivery programs and demonstrate strong capability to deliver simple, scalable solutions to complex problems and see them through to successful completion.
  • Up to 10% travel domestic and international.

    156,000.00 - $222,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $194,000.00- $262,000.00 / annually
