Job description

Supply Chain Specialist Data Center

Carrier Global Corporation, global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is committed to creating innovations that bring comfort, safety and sustainability to life. Through cutting-edge advancements in climate solutions such as temperature control, air quality and transportation, we improve lives, empower critical industries and ensure safe transport of food, lifesaving medicines and more. Since inventing modern air conditioning in 1902, we lead with purpose: enhancing the lives we live and the world we share. We continue to lead because of our world-class, inclusive workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.

Carrier is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist Data Center to support the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of supply-chain capabilities for Carrier's rapidly growing data center HVAC solutions business.

This role is ideal for an early-career supply-chain professional who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to work at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and program management in support of mission-critical infrastructure.

The Supply Chain Specialist will help ensure material availability, supplier readiness, and execution discipline for complex, high-reliability data center programs, supporting on-time delivery, cost targets, and quality standards.

Job Description

Supply Chain Planning & Readiness

  • Support material planning and readiness assessments for data center HVAC programs, including chillers, air handlers, and supporting systems
  • Assist with supplier capacity, lead-time, and risk evaluations for critical components (e.g., compressors, controls, power electronics, heat exchangers)
  • Track and report supply-chain readiness metrics for new programs and customer projects

Supplier & Procurement Support

  • Collaborate with procurement and supplier quality teams to support supplier onboarding, sourcing transitions, and qualification activities
  • Help maintain supplier data, BOMs, and sourcing records to ensure accuracy and alignment with engineering releases
  • Support mitigation plans for material shortages, long lead items, and geopolitical or tariff-related risks

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and logistics teams to align supply-chain plans with production and project schedules
  • Participate in program reviews, readiness meetings, and issue-resolution forums
  • Help translate engineering and customer requirements into executable supply-chain actions

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports related to lead times, supplier performance, inventory health, and program readiness
  • Analyze data to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in supply-chain execution
  • Support continuous-improvement initiatives focused on resilience, scalability, and speed-to-market for data center solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, procurement, manufacturing, or logistics (internships and co-ops included)
  • 1+ year of analytics and data-management experience (Excel required; exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Exposure to manufacturing, engineered-to-order products, or capital equipment
  • Basic understanding of data centers, critical infrastructure, or HVAC systems (or strong interest in learning)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Familiarity with supply-chain concepts such as lead-time analysis, capacity planning, inventory management, and risk mitigation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, program-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions
