Job descriptionManage and forecast all key components and raw materials needed for finished goods. Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess or obsolete stock. Monitor and analyze inventory turns, aging, and stockouts to identify areas for improvement. Validate inventory accuracy at all locations and ensure that inventory reporting is done timely and accurately. Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and procurement teams to gather relevant information for demand planning. Foster strong communication channels to share forecasts, changes in demand, and other critical information. Coordinate with production teams to ensure alignment between production schedules and demand forecasts. Optimize production plans to minimize lead times, transportation costs, and overproduction. Evaluate and enhance supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall responsiveness. Implement best practices in supply and demand planning to streamline operations. Identify potential risks and challenges in the supply chain, such as supply shortages, transportation issues, or production delays. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain continuity in the supply chain. Anticipate overstock issues and products that are going to expire, and find ways to mitigate. Utilize data analysis tools to generate reports and insights related to demand patterns, inventory performance, and supply chain efficiency. Make data-driven recommendations to improve overall supply chain performance. Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance overall planning effectiveness.
