Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Program Manager located in Columbia SC.
Reporting to the Director of Program Management the Program Manager role oversees the full product lifecycle for a manufacturing program, ensuring production, quality, safety, delivery, and cost goals are met. The role focuses on accurate forecasting, cost and timeline management, and maintaining efficient operations that meet customer expectations. It requires a strategic leader skilled in cross‑functional collaboration, resource management, process optimization, and continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and overall manufacturing performance.
What a typical day looks like:
- Interface directly with customers to resolve issues, manage escalations, and build strong relationships.
- Lead small to medium cross‑functional projects from initiation through completion in fast‑paced environments.
- Participate in project planning, supporting timeline development, deliverables, and cross‑departmental coordination.
- Facilitate meetings across teams to ensure alignment on goals, milestones, and execution plans.
- Present project updates to stakeholders and senior leadership, preparing reports and documentation summarizing progress and outcomes.
- Contribute to Lean initiatives and support continuous improvement activities.
- Manage P&L and manufacturing cost performance by monitoring forecasts, analyzing variances, and driving corrective actions.
- Lead cross‑functional teams (CFTs), ensuring coordinated execution across departments.
- Oversee project planning, procurement execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines and manufacturing cost targets are met.
- Serve as the customer’s primary site/program representative, providing regular updates and supporting customer visits.
- Track KPIs related to customer satisfaction, on‑time delivery, quality, AR, and financial performance to drive operational excellence.
- Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, escalating non‑contractual matters when needed.
- Manage scope and change processes, including ECOs and PCNs, ensuring impacts are clearly understood and communicated.
- Support forecast alignment by integrating demand signals with production capacity across labor, equipment, and materials.
- Identify possible claims or recoveries and work with the commercial team to resolve them.
- Oversee site‑level inventory to ensure appropriate material availability.
- Ensure all program deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain complete reporting and documentation of program activities.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives across the program.
- Implement ESG and sustainability requirements as defined and approved by the commercial team.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management
- 4+ years’ experience managing projects or programs.
- Manufacturing/industrial industry in supply chain, engineering and finance, and operation planning positions.
- Good communication skills & solid financial acumen.
