Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic-minded and dynamic Director of Supply Chain to lead our supply chain procurement operations for a growing strategic business unit within our Hubbell Electrical Solutions (HES) segment. This pivotal and visible role requires a leader who can adeptly balance the tactical and strategic aspects of supply chain management. The ideal candidate will focus on driving critical metrics, ensuring operational excellence, and bolstering supply chain resiliency, all while aligning with our company's strategic objectives. This role demands a proactive approach in optimizing day-to-day operations and a visionary perspective to anticipate and navigate future challenges and opportunities in the supply chain landscape.
A Day In The Life
- Develop, implement, and communicate comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with company goals, focusing on optimizing productivity, service, cost savings, overall efficiency, inventory management, and resilience.
- Develops and leads the Purchasing and Sourcing functions, ensuring that all practices are in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Payment Terms, Productivity, Quality, and backlog.
- Manage key supplier relationships and negotiate commercial contracts to secure the best quality, delivery and cost materials for the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, operations, planning, and logistics to ensure a cohesive supply chain strategy.
- Implement and oversee the procurement inventory management process to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess and obsolete stock.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team capable of meeting current and future organizational needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements in the supply chain workflow.
- Develop and execute strategies for enhancing supply chain resiliency, including diversifying supplier base, establishing contingency plans, and conducting regular risk assessments.
- Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks in the supply chain by implementing robust risk management frameworks and compliance protocols.
- Monitor and communicate financial exposure to procurement risks and supplier constraints, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and optimizing cost efficiencies.
