Job descriptionBachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field is highly preferred Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management or logistics management experience within a manufacturing setting is required Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role is required Preference toward candidates with a Lean background or Six Sigma Belt Strong Excel skills and understanding of ERP systems and RFI / RFQ sourcing processes is required Must possess a track record of being a results-driven person who consistently meets and exceeds organizational goals Must be a natural problem-solver who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills H1B Sponsorship is not available for this position
LHH is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Dallas, TX This is an opportunity to join an industry leader who has doubled in size in recent years and is on a growth trajectory to double again within the next five years. In this role, you will oversee the supply chain process including inventory control through shipping to global customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a supply base to achieve quality, cost, delivery, and innovation benchmarks.
- Manage resources to ensure smooth material flow from receipt to customer shipment.
- Coordinate material and finished product movement between locations and to end customers.
- Drive daily performance of warehouse and materials teams.
- Communicate, support, and ensure daily expectations are met.
- Conduct detailed cost and expenditure analyses, develop cost-saving initiatives, and meet cost reduction targets.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability within company guidelines.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Support Kanban and Kaizen activities.
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and professional development of the supply chain team.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market developments in relevant categories.
