RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop weekly planning and schedule with input from gatekeeper, and maintenance manager after receiving priorities for the following week.
- Analyze, monitor, and allocate plant-wide repair and maintenance resources, working with operation Supervisors and Engineers.
- Analyze and manage area maintenance manpower distribution for management of plant- wide work order backlog of repair and maintenance, special maintenance and small capital project.
- Supports as a backup for all aspects of Indirect Reports personnel / workforce management including -Timekeeping / Time Clock approval, PTO requests / approvals and Attendance Policy and Recordkeeping.
- Responsible for analyzing and controlling unit or plant-wide shutdowns including the coordination of that effort with the Managers and Supervisors of Production along with the Plant Engineers.
- Coaches and mentors' technicians by providing training and development opportunities for subject matter relevant to routine and preventive maintenance activities.
- Review plant maintenance requests in SAP to formulate labor, material, special tools, job-specific safety precautions, and equipment requirements (material monitoring and delivery thereof) and prepare backlog.
- Manages workload by distributing maintenance labor and coordinating manpower to maximize "on tool" time and minimize "overload" issues and overtime requirements.
- Establish and maintain a workorder backlog to supplement work assignments during periods of lowered maintenance requirements
- Develop and / or support job plans by creating SAP task lists for Evonik and internal and external contractors to ensure quality craftsmanship with high regard for employee safety and maintenance cost reduction.
- Provides feedback to other groups including, but not limited to, Production, Engineering, etc. in support of continuous improvement efforts.
- Develops technician workforce by identifying training needs and facilitating technical resources for the timely training application.
- Create job packages when necessary to include drawings, work order history, PIDs sketches, BOM (Bill of Material) lists, loop sheets, ISOs, safety requirements, and other documentation depending on the size of the job.
