Job Title: SAP Functional Analyst - WM Support
Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite Hybrid)Mandatory Skills: SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and Extended Warehouse Management (eWM) expertise within future S4 version, with cross-functional knowledge for order to cash processes.
Job Summary: - SAP Functional Analyst for medium-scale, moderately complex customized SAP application used in logistics functions that span order-to-cash business process (PTSI).
- Primary business partners supported is the Warehouse Management team, leveraging the SAP Warehouse Management (WM) module currently, with aims to implement SAP Extended Warehouse Management (eWM) in the next 2 years.
- You join a Warehouse Management functional team (several like SAP experts) to work on incident management tickets, and change requests for small and medium modifications in support of PTSI.
Individual expectations of this position include: - Communicates with parties within and outside of own department which may include consultants, vendors, and central corporate teammates
- SAP WM and eWM expertise within future S4 version, with cross-functional knowledge for order to cash processes
- Contributor to continuous improvement, documentation, standardization processes as it relates to business applications, as well as departmental practices.
- Works under minimal supervision.
Job Details: - Support business users with best practices, troubleshooting, system monitoring, and detailed specifications of enhancement or change requests within PTSI
- Focus on opportunities to align Logistics and Warehouse Management processes within the global Truck Powertrain community
- Build and foster relationships within IT and business
- Work in close alignment with local and global resources to realize an overall system support and change management model
- Implement and follow standard Daimler IT Operating Model / ITIL processes for incidents, problems, and change requests
- Solve complex business challenges through detailed process and system knowledge
- Create an atmosphere of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of process and system proficiency
- Planning, scheduling, facilitating change rollouts with the business while taking the primary role of implementation and status updates, start-up support to guarantee no impact to productions lines as a by-product
- Oversee and track IT vendors providing solutions (internal corporate system owners and external providers)
- Analysis of root cause and development of solutions and workarounds
- Capable of building trustworthy relationships with stakeholders, anticipating and proactively resolving conflicts, and managing expectations with respect to IT topics
- Support rollout of new IT services and processes, including hand-over to service operations resources
- Attend department-specific and other IT-sponsored meetings, workshops and training as required
- Manage daily work activities such as email, non-project and non-operations related meetings, and requests indirectly related to daily tasks
- Participate in meetings and activities as requested by business partners
- Functional specification creation
- Lead and coordinate tasks across business functions (manufacturing, logistics, IT, operations)
Base Requirements: - Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university required
- 5+ years related experience required
- Experience with a minimum of 2 full life cycle SAP implementation projects required
- Strong understanding of external systems interfacing to/from SAP required
- Excellent communication skills required
- Demonstrated efficacy in fast-paced environment with competing demands required
- Ability to recognize and prioritize critical issues that pose significant impact to operations and/or system required
