About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Vascular Surgery PA in Virginia!

Our client in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 78-day assignment beginning Mar 16, 2026. This vital role involves providing inpatient CVT APP care, primarily focusing on post-operative management, CVICU, and CV Stepdown coverage for critically ill CVT surgery patients during 8 or 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver care to CVT surgery patients in CVICU and CV Stepdown units.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and manage post-operative recovery.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform bedside procedures within scope of practice.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
