Job descriptionTelecommunications or utility experience is ideal. The ideal applicant may have been a field tech, surveyor, or construction coordinator. Ability to read and understand drawings Ability to use Google Maps and Google Earth Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills Proven strong analytic / problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills. IkeGPS experience is a PLUS Work is 100% outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather While performing duties, the employee must walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day. Must have a car and a valid driver's license. 25-$35 per hour depending on experience Health benefits include medical, dental & vision for you and your dependents in the first month following your start date. Company-paid Short-term Disability benefits after one year of service. 401(k) Plan on the first month following your start date with a safe-harbor match after one year of service. Supplemental Life Insurance is offered for you and your dependents. ClassPass shared cost membership is offered to each employee. With over two decades of experience, we have become a leader committed to supporting our customers to reach their business goals in the telecommunication, gas, and utility industries.
We are looking for an outside plant expert in your area for our Field Surveyor position. Is that you?
On a typical day, you will be responsible for the following tasks
- Prepares routine field notes for projects, such as the preparation of various drawings of structures and equipment systems derived from layouts and sketches
- Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings.
- Job includes traveling to commissioned work sites, gaining access, and surveying the area and the target buildings(s).
- Field Surveyors may be responsible for client and customer contact and obtaining permission to visit the commissioned sites.
- Responsible for sketching schematics immediately following a field survey.
- Work is 90-100% in the field.
