Job descriptionRequires a High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma Ability to obtain forklift license and operate manual / power pallet jacks A valid NC Driver License is preferred Reading and math skills needed to ensure accuracy of inventory levels, pricing, etc. Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently Ability to lift 30 pounds over shoulders frequently Ability to lift CO2 cylinders occasionally (up to 55 pounds) Ability to push / pull product frequently Ability to walk / stand at least 8 hours / daily Must adhere to all safety programs Maintains a professional relationship with co-workers, customers, and the public Maintain confidentially in financial matters A good candidate must provide a good work history that demonstrates : dependability, integrity, attention to detail, self-motivated, excellent customer service and takes initiative Ability to pass the company’s background and Motor Vehicle Report and the company’s drug testing requirements

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :
To sort and process recyclable materials in order to reduce the amount that is sent to landfill.
DUTIES :
- Assist in implementing waste reduction strategies and developing recycling programs and drafts, organizes and conducts training presentations and responds to inquiries about recycling and other waste reduction programs
- Sort materials, such as metals, glass, paper, and plastics, into appropriate recycling bins
- Identify and remove hazardous substances from materials to be recycled
- Collect and dispose of recyclable materials
- Ensure all materials are separated correctly and disposed of in the correct bins
- Clearly and effectively communicating and / or explaining recycling program to guests and employees on a regular basis
- Empty and clean recycling containers
- Other duties as assigned by manager
