Essential Functions :
Instruct middle school program participants in academic or recreational activities during six-week summer program.
The Strive Toward Excellence Program (STEP) is looking for :
Middle School Language Arts and Art / Special Topics. Two positions are availabl e.
Leadership :
Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of student and / or temporary workers.
Physical Requirements :
Moderate physical effort required involving long periods of standing, walking on rough surfaces, bending and / or stooping, periodic lifting of moderately heavy items (over 25 lbs.50 lbs.).
Working Conditions :
Standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions and / or minor heating / cooling or ventilation problems. Near continuous use (>
70% of the time) of a video display terminal
Additional Position Information :
Education : Bachelor's Degree.
Qualifications : Requires a minimum of 6 months teaching experience. Experience with low-income first-generation students preferred.
Compensation : $30.00 hourly
