Itron, a technology leader in the energy and smart grid sector, is seeking a Principal Software Test Engineer to join our motivated and talented Distributed Intelligence team. You will become a key contributor in implementation of next generation distributed intelligence applications which will enable our customers solve complex grid operations use cases.

Duties and Responsibilities

Create and execute comprehensive test plans for system verification

Work closely with server software and embedded developers to ensure the full integration of quality products

Log detailed defect records for engineering, including step-by-step instructions to recreate the fault

Develop and execute manual, automated functional test suites

Lead the development team members in methodologies, tools, and metrics to ensure highest quality products

Communicate effectively in writing and orally, with both local / remote sites

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in quality engineering experience

Experience testing C# software on Azure

Experience with one of C # , C++, Python programming languages in a Linux environment

Test Automation skills such as Selenium

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience working in energy, or networking domains

Strong oral and written communication skills are essential

Work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards

Knowledge of SQL Server

Previous AMI , EV, or Analytics solutions validation experience preferred

Physical Demands : This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.

Travel : 1- 10%
