The Human Resource (HR) Systems Analyst is is responsible to maintain the integrity and reliability of the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) and serves as the primary contact with the HRIS service vendor to assist internal and external customers with technical support inquiries. This position will also work with other internal and external systems connected with the HRIS to ensure ongoing technical collaboration and effective system functionality. The HR System Analyst will generate and maintain reports, analyze HR data and metrics pulled from a variety of sources and present an explanation of findings to HR Leadership. In addition, this position is the lead technical resource for HRIS vendor implementation, maintenance and management of HRIS vendors, interfaces and processes and provides input and support for other internal and external HR systems. Participates in special projects as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Serves as the primary contact to provide technical support to HRIS end users. Researches and resolves user issues in a timely manner. Interfaces with vendors to determine corrective actions when HRIS functionality issues arise.
- Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the HRIS, Applicant Tracking System, Learning Management System and other internal and external data sources. Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns in various HR functional areas to include recruitment, hiring practices, retention, turnover, and legal compliance. Formulates recommendations on software or system process updates and presents findings to HR Leadership for consideration.
- Utilizes HR software functionalities to create highly complex reports for internal analysis and reporting. Assists end users, to include members of Senior Management, with HRIS reporting tools by developing and generating reports as requested. Maintains HRIS system tables.
- Monitors the HRIS system functionality by proactively soliciting feedback from end users, tracking end user inquiries and issues to identify trends and potential system gaps, and recommending solutions or alternate methods for HRIS functionality to automate and streamline processes.
- Serves as lead technical resource in the selection, implementation, maintenance and management of the HRIS vendor interfaces and processes. Coordinates and communicates system implementation, upgrades, new releases, audits and testing procedures to end users. Serves as liaison between the users, IT and the HRIS vendor and works closely with all parties to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Administers and monitors HRIS system and user security to ensure confidentiality of data. Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Identifies necessary HR systems training for end users and coordinates with the Professional Development Team in the development and facilitation of training for users.
- Evaluates and anticipates future HRIS needs of the organization and maintains awareness of HRIS trends and product development to provide recommendations for the company’s HRIS utilization.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
