Job Description : Summary :
Under guidance from the Network Director, this position is responsible for installation and maintenance of infrastructure servers and systems. Key responsibilities include :
- General daily server support
- After hours on call support for the system administrator team
- Troubleshooting escalated support issues and special systems support
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Tests, schedules, and performs installations and upgrades to operating systems, software packages, and system management tools
2. Creates and maintains documentation for production IT systems
3. Maintains backup and redundancy strategies
4. Routinely audits hardware and software to ensure compliance with organization security and HIPPA guidelines
5. Ensures appropriate security is in place to enable users to access required information and restricts access to sensitive data

7. Maintains e-mail and application services
8. Proactively ensures the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
9. Maintains automation scripts and integrations for IT infrastructure services
10. Routinely audits Microsoft and datacenter related licenses
11. Serves as escalated support for help desk, desktop, and applications teams
12. Liaises with vendors and other IT staff for problem resolution
13. May mentor, lead, and train others

Working Environment
A well-lighted and ventilated working area that has its own temperature control system (air conditioning and heat), Subject to frequent interruptions. Is willing to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays. Required to travel from facility to facility. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
