This role sits at the intersection of finance and technology. The Financial Systems Manager will support our current and future state finance-centric applications. This role will collaborate with IT and other functional business partners to lead implementations and ongoing functional advancement of finance-enabling applications and partner with functional finance teams, IT, and other key stakeholders across the organization to maintain the digital infrastructure, data, and processes that support the finance organization. The role is being created near the beginning of a finance digital transformation project. As such, this presents an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved in shaping the future of finance. Overall, the ideal candidate for this position should possess a combination of financial acumen, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement in financial systems management.
What You'll Do :
- Provide leadership for the design, implementation and continuous improvement of finance systems across the company
- Manage the functional maintenance and administration of financial systems
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements
- Work closely with IT to optimize and enhance the performance of financial systems
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions\
- Work closely with IT to develop and maintain integrations, ensuring data integrity and security
- Schedule and monitor system interfaces; distribute error reports to responsible parties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial systems with other business applications, fostering seamless data flow and minimizing manual interventions
- Develop and deliver training programs that educate and drive effective and full use of the systems’ capabilities
- Assist end users with routine system requests and provide continuing support to resolve system-related issues
- Hire and develop financial systems staff as necessary
- Own the accuracy and integrity of data within the systems, and proactively manage remediation and corrections as needed
- Develop and implement data governance policies to maintain data quality standards
- Manage and maintain systems, controls and workflows that govern access to and integrity of the chart of accounts and other relevant financial data
- Manage updates to approved changes to the chart of accounts or other relevant financial data
- Develop and modify reports and reporting structures / hierarchies as needed
- Participate in inter-departmental process improvement projects and system implementations
- Work with IT to define security roles
- Comply with IT Audit requests
- Stay abreast of software product releases and best practices, including industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend system upgrades and enhancements
