Recruiter I - Talent Acquisition
The Recruiter I will source, recruit, screen, and interview candidates to fill organizational roles. This role will also be responsible for leveraging innovative sourcing strategies and implementation plans that result in a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
- Develop stakeholder relationships with hiring managers, and HR, maintaining effective communication channels
- Consult with hiring managers to understand roles to be filled and profiles of ideal candidates
- Review and assess applicant education, experience, training, and other qualifications to determine alignment with ideal candidate profile
- Conduct screening interviews via phone or in person
- Schedules interviews and coordinates interviewers to ensure smooth candidate experience
- Verifies employment eligibility, gathers necessary documentation, and performs reference checks as needed
- Communicate with internal and external candidates and hiring managers throughout the process
- Present job offers verbally upon candidate selection and offer approval
- Attend recruiting events (virtual webinars, in-person career fairs, and campus recruiting)
- Partner with other team members to improve and streamline processes when needed
Additional duties include:
- Oversees projects within the department to ensure deadlines are met
- Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis
- Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures
- Other duties as assigned by manager
- Travel up to 25% of time

Education and work experience:
Minimum High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
1 year of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or staffing preferred
Strong proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel required
Proficiency in and knowledge of recruiting tools, resources, and processes (Workday, LinkedIn, Indeed, Caliper, TalentPlus, Phenom, Sharepoint, Webex, MS Teams) preferred

High-level of professionalism with ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information with discretion
