Tax accountant Jobs in Longmont, CO

Blackbaud is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our organization. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting Operations. A successful candidate would be a self-motivated and experienced accountant with a constant drive for process improvement. Interest in developing detailed knowledge / ownership in systems (Workday, Blackline, Hyperion) is critical to success in this role.

What you'll be doing :

Responsible for key areas during Corporate Accounting’s monthly close accounting operations including but not limited to fixed assets, leases, cloud computing arrangements, tax accounting support.

Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations in Blackline.

Prepare flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Perform accounting and reporting-related SOX controls.

Work with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance with quarterly and annual audit requirements.

Create and review standard operating procedures for accounting processes and tasks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and identify areas for improvement.

What we'll want you to have :

3-5 years of public accounting experience; Big 4 IT audit experience preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, driven to continuously strive for excellence.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate in both team and matrixed environments.

Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize work amongst multiple teams and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

CPA license or must be CPA candidate.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
