Job descriptionPrepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Conduct detailed reviews of tax returns prepared by staff accountants. Provide tax planning strategies to clients to minimize tax liabilities. Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients. Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns. Communicate proactively, clearly and effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. Understands engagement / project profitability and effectively communicates status / issues Mentor, train, evaluate and provide feedback to staff accountants and interns. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the completion of high-quality work. Provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations. Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently and efficiently. Act as "champion" in either technology area and / or specialized technical knowledge area. Identify and resolve issues that may impact engagement quality or efficiency. Share best practices and time-saving techniques with team members. At least 3-5 years of current experience in public accounting required, focusing on tax preparation and planning. Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Proficiency in Ultra Tax, QuickBooks (desktop and online), Excel, AdvanceFlow, and GoFileRoom. Proactive, clear and effective communication (both written and oral). Ability to adapt to new technology and stay current with changes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in order to meet multiple deadlines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple projects. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork and a positive attitude.
