SUMMARY :
Under general supervision, the Tax Accountant supports our branches by assisting with tax compliance in the areas of sales tax, property tax, and business licensing.
JOB DUTIES
- Analyzes sales tax data, and prepares state and local sales and use tax returns.
- Prepares property tax returns. Processes assessment notices and property tax invoices.
- Prepares business licenses and processes related payments.
- Assists with the preparation of federal and state income tax returns.
- Analyzes and maintains accruals for tax accounts.
- Analyzes tax problems and provides instructions to branch personnel on the application
of related tax laws.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or an associated discipline and
three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination. CPA is preferred.
