Tax associate Jobs in Hartford, CT

The team tax function is currently 11 people, primarily based in the UK. This role is to support the existing US tax manager and wider US finance team. The focus of the role is helping the company manage its indirect tax obligations in the US (premium taxes and Sales & Use tax). It will involve working closely with the US finance team, primarily based in West Hartford. There is flexibility around the exact requirements of the role depending on how the strengths of the candidate fit within the existing team.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Collaborate with the US Tax Manager, Finance team, and external advisors to ensure compliance with all US indirect tax obligations, including premium taxes and Sales & Use tax.
• Assist in preparing tax reporting for both entity-level and consolidated financial statements.
• Support tax planning initiatives and provide advisory assistance as required.
• Perform ad hoc tax and accounting tasks to meet business needs.
• Ensure adherence to our policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00 / hr.
