Tax preparer Jobs in Atlanta, GA

HumanHire  is working with a large CPA firm with operations throughout the country to help them find a Sr. Tax Preparer who can join their team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity and the ideal fit will be someone who is an expert in preparing individual tax returns with a strong accounting foundation. This is a fully remote role and can sit anywhere within the United States.

Salary : Up to $150K (plus bonus opportunities, 401k match, full benefits, and more)

Working hours :  Flexible, but preferably Monday-Friday, from 830AM-5PM

Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.

Returns can include individual, nonprofit, corporate, trust, and partnership tax

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and market trends to provide informed guidance to clients.

Communicate effectively with clients to understand their financial situations and address any questions or concerns.

Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in tax preparation.

Qualification

At least 6+ years a Tax Preparer or in a similar role within public accounting.

Strong understanding of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial concepts.

Proficiency in tax preparation software (Lacerte, CCH, ProSystemFX, etc.)

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts effectively.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with financial sales concepts is a plus.
