Your Role as an Assistant Teacher
As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll work closely with the Lead Teacher to deliver a nurturing, safe, and educational classroom environment for infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children. You’ll help implement play-based learning activities , manage classroom routines, and provide individualized attention that supports each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily routines including circle time, story time, snack, outdoor play, and rest time
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment aligned with state licensing regulations
Encourage independence, self-help skills, and social interaction through positive guidance strategies
