What we want you to do :

  • Provide support to classroom lead teacher in execution of classroom duties and student engagement
  • Organize classroom materials and equipment to provide a safe and supportive environment
  • Help to develop written plans for daily activities based on children's needs and interests
  • Manage regular attendance for all students in the assigned room
  • Assist in the supervision of 8-16 students with the classroom which may include some students with disabilities and or behavioral difficulties
  • Follow the Conscious Discipline model for effective teaching and learning
  • Effectively implement Educare's core features within the classroom
  • Strongly adhere to the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct
  • Provide routine care for students such as changing diapers or assisting with toileting
  • Participate in the serving and clean-up of meals and snacks
  • Eat meals and snacks together "family style" with the students
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the quality of Clayton Educare education programs

What you must have :

  • Education : Must possess an Associates Degree in ECE OR have a Child Development Associate Certificate / have completed 12 ECE college credits
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years or more working in early childhood education or a related field is preferred
  • Skills : Pediatric first aid, CPR, experience working with young children, knowledge of child development principles, bilingual in English / Spanish preferred, ability to use technology in a professional setting, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and other software and applications required by the role
  • Background Check : Must be able to pass a background check, including CBI / FBI fingerprinting, motor vehicle / driving record (MVR), CO state child abuse and neglect registry check, a national sex offender registry check, and reference checks.
  • Other : Ability to work flexible hours, valid driver's license with proof of auto insurance
