SEN Teaching Assistant

Location : Southgate, Enfield

Salary : £90-£105 per day (Depending on Experience)

Hours : 8 : 15 am - 3 : 45 pm

Contract Type : Long-Term, Full-Time

Start Date : ASAP

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Southgate, Enfield . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in SEN who is committed to supporting young learners in achieving their full potential.

About the Role :

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) , you will work closely with students requiring additional support, helping them access the curriculum and develop their confidence and skills. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities of an SEN TA :

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, adapting resources as needed to meet individual needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies under the guidance of the SENCO.
• Support students with personal care needs, where required.
• Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents / carers.
• Encourage and develop students’ independence and self-esteem.
• Collaborate with the wider school team, including teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals, to provide the best support for students.
• Contribute to creating an environment where all students feel safe, valued, and empowered to succeed.
