Job title : Application Engineering Team Lead

Location : Florida, United States (Remote)

We are in search of a proficient Application Engineering Team Lead to enhance our team. As an Application Engineering Team Lead, you'll play a vital role in steering the design and development of our application solutions, collaborating with various teams and clients to deliver innovative outcomes. Your responsibilities will include supervising a team of application engineers, addressing technical challenges, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements :

A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) applications or distributed power generation applications.

Demonstrated experience in application engineering or similar roles.

Proficiency in English.

Competency in utilizing MATLAB and other relevant software for BESS system modeling, performance analysis, and optimization.

Thorough understanding of software development methodologies and practices.

Strong grasp of electricity, power generation, and the energy industry.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Effective communication and leadership skills.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications :

Validate electrical system designs.

Prepare and authorize technical documentation for projects and contribute to system product configuration.

Assess BESS systems by current codes, industry standards, and regulations.

Lead and coordinate the tasks of the application engineering team, offering guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.

Analyze project-specific requirements to design customized BESS solutions tailored to customer needs.

Review and validate specifications, designs, qualifications, and certifications for BESS integration projects.

Develop power systems at the system level, emphasizing power conversion systems and plant management / SCADA systems.

Develop and execute action plans to address customer requirements.

Support bid and proposal teams by addressing technical queries during the bid phase.

Lead the technical review and approval of BESS contracts with Bid Managers, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and customer needs.

Conduct technical feasibility studies and ensure compatibility with third-party products and systems.

Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient execution and delivery of BESS projects.
