JOB SUMMARY
A Curriculum PD 6-12 RLA / SS Coordinator 1 plays a pivotal role in driving our district towards its future state vision, This entails delivering high-quality\l district-wide professional development sessions, providing customized support to individual campuses, and implementing curriculum strategies that align with our district-approved materials. Your efforts will be guided by district, state, and national student data aimed at fostering the success of our leaders, teachers, and students.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collaborate with the Curriculum Design team to review, refine, and enhance curriculum content and structure.
2. Provide support for the effective implementation of all digital instructional resources.
3. Assist with the rollout and monitoring of pilot programs aimed at identifying innovative strategies to improve student achievement.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED
4. Design and facilitate professional development sessions focused on internalizing and applying state academic standards.
5. Support schools in implementing curriculum that aligns with state standards and instructional best practices.
6. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years
At least 3 years working as a teacher or in the district / central office of a large urban school district
SKILL AND / OR REQUIRED LICENSING / CERTIFICATION
Teacher Certification
Microsoft Office
Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)
Google Suite
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.
WORK COMPLEXITY / INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate methods as well as interpret precedent. Position regularly makes recommendations to management on areas of significance to the department. Supervision received typically consists of providing direction on the more complex projects and new job duties and priorities.

No budget development activity is required.

Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

Collaborate and solve problems - works with others to resolve problems, clarify, or interpret complex information / policies and provide initial screening / negotiations without approval authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.

Follows through with customer inquiries, requests, and complaints. Forwards difficult and non-routine inquiries or requests to appropriate level for resolution.
