Position Electrophysiology Tech
Location : Memphis, Tennessee
Schedule : Day (4x10 Hours) 6 : 30 17 : 00
Unit : Radiology / Cardiology
What You'll Do :
The Electrophysiology Technician will assist cardiologists and electrophysiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias through the use of specialized medical equipment. This position requires a thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrical conduction, along with a high level of technical expertise in the operation of EP lab equipment.
Resp onsibilities :
- Assist in EP studies, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, ablation procedures, and other cardiac interventions.
- Prepare and calibrate EP lab equipment, including catheter insertion systems, recording systems, and stimulators.
- Monitor and record cardiac electrical activity during procedures.
- Provide support during emergency procedures and respond quickly to changes in patient conditions.
- Ensure sterile techniques and procedures are followed in the lab.
- Educate patients and their families on procedures and post-procedural care.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient data in accordance with hospital policies.
