Job Title Radiology Technologist Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Woodbury, Minnesota. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures in a dynamic healthcare setting, contributing to accurate patient diagnoses and treatment plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. You will work collaboratively with a healthcare team to provide essential diagnostic services to a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Accurately position patients for imaging studies, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshooting minor issues as needed. Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to protect patients and staff. Review images for quality, completeness, and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary. Maintain precise patient records and documentation of procedures performed. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technologist. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment in Woodbury, MN. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in operating various X-ray imaging equipment. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Excellent patient positioning and transfer techniques. Thorough understanding and application of radiation safety principles (ALARA). Ability to assess and ensure image quality for diagnostic accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare team members. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
