Job Title : ICC Special Inspector

Compensation : $28-32 / hour depending on experience and certifications

Location : Meridian, ID

FLSA Exemption : Non-Exempt

Schedule : Full-time, hours may vary

What you'll be doing :

Perform structural inspections in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications for concrete, masonry, steel, welding, and fireproofing.

Conduct soil density and concrete testing and report findings accurately.

Interpret project drawings and specifications to verify compliance with applicable codes and engineer requirements.

Clearly communicate inspection results and project requirements to Project Managers, Contractors, Engineers, and Testing Technicians.

Prepare detailed, legible inspection reports and maintain project records without ambiguity.

Maintain certifications and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policy.

Uphold a professional attitude and appearance while interacting with clients and project stakeholders.

Turn in timecards and datasheets daily, while keeping company vehicles and equipment in proper working order.

What you have :

High School diploma or equivalent; ability to perform written instructions, procedures, and calculations.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction inspections, materials testing, or a related field.

Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and inspection methods.

Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks including lifting (up to 100 lbs), climbing ladders / scaffolding (up to 100'), twisting, and crouching.

Excellent communication skills and professional client-facing presence.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Certification(s) :

ICC Certifications in one or more of the following :

Reinforced Concrete

Structural Masonry

Structural Steel and Welding

Spray-Applied Fireproofing

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I

OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Safety Training
