Qualifications :

Boeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Designer to join us as part of the Space, Intelligence, and Weapons Systems (SI&WS) Design Center team. Come be a part of the team and choose which primary Design Center you want to sit in : Huntsville, Alabama, Houston, Texas, Titusville, Florida.

The SI&WS Design Centers provide enterprise-wide expertise for aerospace design and analysis. The SI&WS Design Centers both Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA) and Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS), primarily in Structural and Mechanical Design and Stress Analysis.

In addition, the Design Centers also have experience in Environmental Control Systems (ECS), Thermal / Fuel Systems analysis and Flight Test Engineering. The Design Centers have been an integral part of the design for the (BDS) P8-A Poseidon Aircraft, KC-46A Tanker, SLS for NASA; and, for BCA , the Commercial 787 Dreamliner and 737-MAX and 777X airplanes.

Position Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain engineering product definition by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies to satisfy customer and production requirements.
• Coordinate engineering product definition with internal and external parties.
• Verify engineering data by ensuring compliance to standards and integration of parts, instructions, and tools.
• Investigate manufacturing processes or engineering related issues.
• Develop statements of work (SOW).
• Develop and validate new processes and procedures to increase the product quality and affordability.

This position is expected to be fully onsite in Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, or Titusville, FL.

Summary pay range : 44,200 - 64,400.
