Job description
Our client, a leading engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join their team. The Technical Writer will play a critical role in translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. This individual will collaborate closely with engineers, developers, and product teams to ensure all written materials meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities :
Analyze the target audience to ensure documentation aligns with user knowledge levels and expectations. Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product marketing teams to gather and verify technical information. Write and edit a wide range of technical documents including, but not limited to : User manuals Instruction guides Technical specifications FAQs Online help systems Tutorials Developer guides
Organize and format content in accordance with industry and company standards. Maintain documentation revisions and updates as needed. Enhance written content with visuals such as diagrams, charts, and photos to improve user understanding.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Entry level experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar documentation role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to simplify complex information. Strong attention to detail and a user-focused mindset. Ability to think critically and approach information from an end-user perspective. Proficiency in documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Microsoft Word, or similar). Familiarity with content management systems and version control tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science. A solid portfolio showcasing previous technical writing work is highly encouraged.
