POSITION SUMMARY :

Under the general supervision from the Director of Operations, the New York Film Academy (NYFA) - South Beach (SoBe) Campus Technical Assistant will assist and provide hands on assistance with the safety of technical equipment for film shoots, events, and other day-to-day related to job responsibilities.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES :

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The day-to-day duties required of this position may vary.

• Oversee students and ensure their proper technical and safe use of equipment.
• Offer technical assistance to students.
• Set up equipment for classes, events, performances, etc.
• Set up / film live events. (i.e. graduations, guest speakers, performances, etc.)
• Adhere to film / TV production safety guidelines
• Work as additional film / TV crew on certain workshops.
• Safely pack and deliver equipment to and from locations.
• Label and deliver media.
• General technical assistant support for school.
• Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations - South Beach (SB), and by senior management.

The New York Film Academy was founded in 1992 on the belief that a top-quality education in filmmaking should be accessible to anyone with the drive and ambition to make films.
