Position Summary

Echelon Services is seeking a Technical Writer with deep experience developing technical documentation to support system development, operations, and end-user guidance. The ideal candidate will bring a keen attention to detail, a structured approach to documentation, and an ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate written products.

This position requires strong collaboration with engineers, developers, and project stakeholders to gather information and create documentation that aligns with project goals, security compliance, and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, user guides, installation manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical data and validate accuracy of documentation.
• Organize and structure content for clarity, usability, and compliance with government standards and templates.
• Ensure consistency and adherence to documentation style guides and security classification protocols.
• Participate in document reviews, revisions, and final delivery of materials to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain version control and documentation repositories throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Salary at Echelon Services is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Echelon’s total compensation package for employees.
