What You'll Do :
The Director of Technology oversees internal software development, systems integration, digital solution and modernization efforts to support business operations. This role ensures technology platforms integrate effectively, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making. Focus is on building business-critical applications and integrating third-party systems — not commercial software product development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Hands own experience to manage a high-performing internal development and systems integration team.
- Provide technical direction and mentor engineers, analysts, and integration architects.
- Lead development and delivery of applications, automation, and workflow systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, databases, and automation tools.
- Oversee API development, middleware, and integration between Operations platforms, ERP, CRM, IoT and other internal applications.
- Implement secure coding practices and integration security reviews.
- Define software and integration strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
- Manage external development partners, vendors, and system integrators when needed.
- Ensure scalability, maintainability, and documentation of all systems.
- Prioritize technology initiatives based on operational impact and ROI.
- Drive automation initiatives, RPA, data pipelines, and analytics capabilities.
- Collaborate with business units to digitize processes and remove manual friction.
- Experience with supply chain EDI transactions and integrations is a plus
- Strong hands-on knowledge in databases, data strategies and overall data management is a plus.
- Familiarity and / or implementation of AI driven development, overall IT development process reimagination knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Management.
Qualifications
Education & Credentials :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business or a related field; or a combination of post high school and experience equal to twelve (12) years.
