Job description

Our Greenway Plaza area client is seeking an IT Support Tech to provide local Tier 1 computer hardware / software support for their office.

Responsibilities include :

Tier 1 initial support responsible for solving basic user issues and technical problems.
Set up new users’ workstations with a standardized method and software.
Maintain Microsoft systems and applications.
Troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and connectivity issues.
Adding workstations, projectors, and video conferencing.
Ddding / terminating users, assigning rights and access, resetting passwords.
Establishing email addresses, assessing and reporting operational status.
Performing backups and restores.
Perform routine maintenance and updates of hardware & software.
Maintain malware / virus compliance, manage inventory; ensure compliance software licenses, and update software versions.

Qualifications :

Self-sufficient, able to work independently without supervision.

1-3 years related technical support experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field preferred.

Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize.

Well-developed problem-solving skills.

Excellent project management skills.
