Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Front Office Technology Support Specialist to join our trading technology team at a leading hedge fund. In this role, you will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and quants to ensure the smooth operation of real-time trading systems. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting mission-critical applications to support trading activities. This is a hybrid role , requiring onsite presence in our Manhattan office at least three days per week.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide production support for front-office trading systems, including trade execution, pricing, and risk analytics applications.
Monitor real-time market data feeds , FIX connections, and trading platforms to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Collaborate with traders and PMs to address operational issues and improve system reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve latency-sensitive or high-impact problems under time-critical conditions.
Support integration with OMS / EMS platforms and ensure trade lifecycle processes run smoothly.
Document incidents, maintain system knowledge base, and contribute to ongoing process improvements .
Required Skills & Experience :
5+ years of experience in C# / .NET development or similar , ideally in a trading or financial environment.
Strong understanding of multithreading, low-latency systems, and performance tuning .
Familiarity with market data feeds, FIX protocol, trading APIs , and OMS / EMS platforms.
Experience with SQL Server and messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills , with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced front-office setting.
Bonus : Exposure to equities, derivatives, or FX trading desks .
