Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm based in California, is hiring a roadway design engineer to join our Transportation Department. We work in many design disciplines including highways and local roadways, bike trails, pedestrian facilities, drainage facilities and many more. This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.

A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers' Engineer

• Design roadway system improvements and related transportation structures under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
• Prepare plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform technical studies and prepare technical documents such as Project Reports.
• Develop appropriate preliminary concepts and layouts.
• Oversee and mentor entry level staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience on roadway design projects.
• Expert in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design related software.
• Experience using roadway design standards such as CDOT Design Manual and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

The range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location. Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
